Funded training program for producers – fig processors



Invitation to participate in a funded vocational training program (educational mission) on climate change in cultivation and integration of innovations in the process of fig processing (processing / packaging) from 18-24 / 7/2021 in Spain, is addressed to its members producers and fig processors, the Agri-Food Partnership of the Region of Central Greece. belonging to the staff of the member companies of the Partnership (owners or employees), who need to acquire knowledge and improve skills related to the topics of the training program. The training mobility will last 7 days (5 + 2) and will take place in a stream in Spain. The training activities include technical visits to visitable fig growing, processing and standardization plants with innovative practices, related seminars with pioneering topics and presentation of research results by the host organization – the University of Extremadura and the research institutes of the institution, INURA, INUR as well as cultural visits, in the wider area of ​​Badajoz. The main objectives of the project are: the acquisition and integration of specialized experiences (know how) of producers / processors of figs to deal with climate change and increase fig production in the fig-producing areas of Region F . Greece. The contact with innovative methods of processing and packaging of figs, which contribute to the extension of the shelf life of fresh or processed figs, to the modernization of the standardization process and to the increase of competitiveness.
